Millimeter-wave optical single-sideband modulation by using guided-wave electrooptic modulators with periodic polarization-reversal was experimentally demonstrated. A sideband suppression ratio over 27 dB was obtained at 38 GHz modulation. It leads to the applications to the radio-on-fiber systems.
