The traditional mechanical vehicle speed measurement system has problems such as low measurement accuracy, poor reliability, and vehicle speed pointer swing. To solve this problem, a new photoelectric vehicle speed measurement system is proposed. First, install a light barrier on the axle of the car, and install a phototransistor and a light source generator on both sides of the light barrier. When the car is running, the axle drives the light barrier to rotate, causing the output current of the phototransistor to change, which is converted into corresponding The output voltage signal is processed and the driving speed of the vehicle is calculated based on this. On the basis of simulation experiments, the principle prototype is developed and tested. The results show that the method has a simple structure, low cost of implementation, and high accuracy of speed measurement.
