In this work, we have developed a micro-simulation tool which integrates microscopic model energy consumption. At first we start by modeling microscopic behavior of vehicles. We have used two microscopic models the linear model for longitudinal moving and MOBIL for lateral displacement which adds a politeness factor to evaluate the possibility of lane change. Then we implemented microscopic energy consumption model which calculates energy consumption. The principal purposes are: studying traffic variables, the behavior of a driver and evaluating energy consumption on a single as well as on a double lane after adding the principle of lane change. Firstly, we studied macroscopic variables of traffic on the case of linear model with MOBIL. Secondly, we investigated the relationship between velocity and energy consumption. Finally, we studied the influence of adding the possibility of a changing lane on the energy consumption of vehicles and precisely the influence of politeness factor.
