Currently, injuries resulting from traffic accidents result in the death of around 1.19 million people per year worldwide [1]. Therefore, road safety is a critical component of urban and rural development, especially in developing countries. The implementation of minor interventions can result in significant improvements without incurring high costs. This article proposes a series of measures to improve road safety using the assessment provided by the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP). Above all, its ViDA-iRAP software is an effective tool for identifying risks and proposing appropriate solutions, since it has a "star" rating (safety measures) where one star represents the worst case and five stars represent the best case for both road infrastructure and pedestrians, with the aim of establishing measures to reduce the large number of deaths and serious injuries that are currently occurring in countries due to road safety issues. The research carried out by Cayao and Ferreyra will be evaluated on the data obtained from the modeling with the software, how the program assessed the improvement results showing significant changes, and the problem of the large flow of motorcycle taxis on the road will be seen.
