Congestion that occurs on toll roads is a very stressful things. One of the most frequent reason to this is traffic incident. The solution to deal with this incident is still limited. We try to make a model to learn how certain parameters in this incident impacting the overall traffic congestion. We make agent-based model done in Netlogo by improving “Traffic 2 lanes” model by Uri Wilensky. The two elements to inspect in this model are mean speed of not-broken cars and number of traffic throughput. Based on the simulation, the easiest and cheapest solution is to make broken cars move to shoulder during breakdown since it can increase the traffic throughput and mean speed of cars. The other option is to reduce the amount of cars, increase number of lanes, and lowering the speed limit of the toll roads.
