High-gain converters are often used in numerous applications like fuel cells, DC micro grid, electric vehicles, and renewable energy etc. This paper proposes a novel high-gain buck-boost converter that is derived from a SEPIC. The suggested converter offers several special benefits of a SEPIC converter: buck-boost function, continuous input current, and non-inverting output. In addition, the converter has a higher gain than conventional KYBB, ZETA, and SEPIC converters. When compared to traditional SEPIC, ZETA, and NIBB converters, the suggested converter provides reduced switch voltage stress. Furthermore, the control platform is not as burdened by this converter's single switch operation. Both continuous and discontinuous conduction modes of the suggested converter's mathematical modelling, design, and thorough analysis are presented. The suggested converter's performance is contrasted with that of the ZETA, SEPIC, KYBB, and NIBB converters. Moreover, the efficiency analysis of the proposed converter is presented and found to be 94.5 % at rated power for the conversion of 36 V to 200 V.
