We report the first experimental characterisation of the different dynamical regimes achievable with this setup, among which is high complexity chaos. We also propose a complete emitter receiver setup based on this chaos generator, and performing a chaotic radio-frequency FM secure communication system, in which chaos synchronization could be performed at the receiver. We propose some advantages of optics (wide band delay lines), combining them with optoelectronic functions, to design a hybrid optoelectronic oscillator in which an electrical signal can be used to transmit a chaotic frequency modulated RE signal through a radiocommunication channel.
