In this paper the theoretical and experimental performance of a wideband FET harmonically synchronized frequency divider is presented. A large signal nonlinear transconductance description is adopted; then the locking range can be calculated by use of the method of averaging. When the bias of the varactor in the FET frequency divider is properly adjusted, the experiments show that such a wideband divider can operate in the 30.5-35.2 GHz range with a small injection power level.
