This paper represents a method of Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) which uses multi-wavelet transform to improve the shape and texture feature extraction and decrease the operand. The theoretical analysis is represented first and the numerical verification and experimental validation using real CT image is showed behind. Both the theoretical analysis and the numerical and experimental results agree that the multi-wavelet transform based image retrieval can get good result for image retrieval.
