This paper presented an approach for developing the control software of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). This method is based on MATLAB/Simulink and consists of modelling, simulation, code generation and verifications. The software prototype and embedded codes can be verified step-by-step by software and hardware co-simulation in MATLAB/Simulink. This methodology can be used for the development of the software system of the PMSM controller, with high portability, high efficiency and high reliability.
