The limitations of routing algorithms affect the development of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The existing research works are not focused on optimizing the network energy consumption and as a result, a balanced energy utilization cannot be achieved among the sensor nodes. This limitation results in the poor deployment of WSNs in a number of applications. This study analyzed the fundamentals of wireless data transmission by analyzing the position of the sensor nodes and other vital components of the wireless sensor networks. In experimental comparison, the proposed energy-balanced routing protocol demonstrates the potential to minimize the network's energy consumption and maximize the network throughput throughout the entire data transmission process. The goal of this research work is to enhance the performance of WSNs by introducing a novel routing algorithm to reduce redundant data, conserve energy, and extend the network lifetime.
