In this work, we report on the deposition of epitaxial thin films of SrBaNb/sub 2/O/sub 6/ (SBN:75) on MgO substrates using pulsed laser deposition and the subsequent measurement of large electro-optic coefficients in these films using a modulated diffraction technique.
