In channel models for mobile communications, the K-factor, which specifies the Ricean distribution of the small-scale fading, typically has a fixed value. In the real world, the K-factor varies dependent on the distance and the environment. To counter this discrepancy, we performed channel measurements and developed a novel K-factor model, which allows for a more realistic modeling of the channel characteristics of the vehicle-to-vehicle channel.
