Undoubtedly the recognition of individuals is essential to ensure the confidentiality of all activity that handle certain exclusively. Features of a fingerprint are able to make a fingerprint reader device responds differently to each individual. This paper, contains important aspects of fingerprint recognition. We introduced a detailed analysis on the fingerprint conceptualization as biometric pattern, and presents an interesting sequence of algorithms such as the negative laplace filter and the non-stationary analysis of the short time fourier transform, and a flexible algorithm to find the match percentage in the verification process.
