The power system is the power source for the flight of the four-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Any failure of the rotor's power system will lead to safety risks of uncontrolled crash of the drone. However, due to constraints such as the size, weight, and power consumption of the four-rotor UAV, there is currently no comprehensive and appropriate online anomaly detection solution. Based on the failure principle of power system, an online monitoring scheme for four-rotor UAV is designed. The system framework, software and hardware design, and equipment selection are discussed in detail. An airborne system prototype is developed based on the DSP+FPGA platform. Flight test results show that the system can effectively monitor the abnormal state of the power system of the four-rotor UAV.
