The paper presents the results of research on the influence of technological parameters of vibratory shot peening on the selected properties of the surface layer of objects made of Ti6Al4V titanium alloy, 30HGSA stainless steel and AlSi10Mg aluminum alloy. These materials are successfully used in the aviation and automotive industries.The analyzed properties of the surface layer were: surface topography, 3D surface roughness parameters and the degree of strengthening e (on the depth 5 µm and 15 µm) and the thickness of the hardened layer.After research has been concluded that the diameter of the balls d = 3 mm can be considered the optimal parameters for these tested materials
