The aim of this project is to explore the possibility developing an advanced flight controller using low power and low-cost flight controller which uses stm32f103c8t6 microcontroller which are based, neo-GPS and magnetometer, ms5611 barometer, MPU 6050 3 axis gyroscope and 3 axis accelerometer. This flight controller can do GPS hold, waypoint navigation, altitude hold. The microcontroller uses 5v power and has an operating voltage of 3.3v. the microcontroller uses a closed loop PID control system it has an 72 Mhz crystal oscillator so it fairly powerful than most of the microcontroller like naze32 and KK flight controller. The flight controller takes the PPM signal from the transmitter and computes the PID for flight of the quadcopter while getting a feedback signal from the interface sensor. Stm32f103c8t6 microcontroller works on 72 Mhz, and the open-source software which we have edited uses 250 hz refresh rate which is quite slow in comparison to flight controllers available in the market but as we compare the price it is a much better choice. Microcontroller computes the PWM signal for ESC's (electronic speed controller) which controls the speed of BLDC (brushless motors). The availability of the parts on market and cost makes it a viable solution of cheap and effective customizable drones.
