In order to study the safety of accidental fall in solid rocket motor lifting operation, a calculation model of solid rocket motor falling process was established. Based on Abaqus finite element simulation software, using the display dynamics method, the finite element simulation of the solid rocket motor accidental fall process was carried out. The response of the engine under different drop angles at 3m height is analyzed. The results show that: At 3m height, the dangerous drop angle of the engine is 90°, the maximum stress and strain of the propellant column appear at its bottom near the nozzle, the maximum stress is 3.85MPa, and the maximum strain is 11.29%, which may cause large deformation and failure.
