The quite recent availability of satellite stereo pairs allows users to extract tridimensional data that can be used in different domain of applications, such as urban planning, energy, emergency management, etc. This research paper aims to extract a dense Digital Surface Model (DSM) from a satellite stereo pair acquired by GÖKTÜRK-l satellite, comparing the result in term of geometric accuracy with high resolution lidar surveyed data: the comparison in terms of height values, calculated on a set of sample points, returned a mean value equal to 1.49 m and a RMSE of 0.67 m. The obtained accuracy levels, for both the planimetric and height components, are comparable with the ones associated to products derived from similar satellite sensors In the conclusions some possible further developments useful for the operational usage of such satellite acquisitions are described.
