According to various embodiments of the present invention, provided is an operating method of an electronic device comprising: a first processor corresponding to a host stack; a second processor corresponding to a first controller stack; memory; and a transceiver, the host stack and the controller stack being connected through a host controller interface (HCI). The operating method comprises the steps of: transmitting a first battery management command (BM command) to each of a plurality of battery cells included in one or more battery cell groups; receiving a first battery management response (BM response) from each of the plurality of battery cells; determining priorities for the plurality of battery cells on the basis of the first battery management responses and transmission periods based on the priorities; transmitting a second battery management command to each of the plurality of battery cells on the basis of the priorities and the transmission periods; and receiving a second battery management response from each of the plurality of battery cells.
