A device provides through a Bluetooth connection with a primary anchor a Long Term Key (LTK) for use in a multi-anchor Bluetooth channel sounding (MABCS) process with the primary anchor and one or more secondary anchors, and the device then engages in the MABCS process. The MABCS process includes (a) sequentially at to each of multiple Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) channels (i) transmitting a ping message, (ii) receiving sequentially from each of the anchors of the plurality, responsive to the ping message, a respective pong message, and (iii) using phase shift as a basis to determine, respectively for each anchor, a phase shift on the BLE channel, and (b) determining the distance of the device respectively from each anchor based at least on the phase shifts determined for respectively for the anchor on at least a first one of the BLE channels and a second one of the BLE channels.

    Un dispositif fournit, via une connexion Bluetooth avec une ancre principale, une clé à long terme (Long Term Key ou LTK) à utiliser dans un processus de sondage de canal Bluetooth multi-ancres (multi-anchor Bluetooth channel sounding ou MABCS) avec l'ancre principale et une ou plusieurs ancres secondaires, puis le dispositif participe au processus MABCS.
