Disclosed are a multiwire self-grounding wireless charging method and system for charging an electric vehicle during travel. The multiwire self-grounding wireless charging system for charging an electric vehicle during travel disclosed herein comprises: a first transmitter and a second transmitter not including any coils and including a plurality of wires that are uniformly connected in parallel in a road in order to generate a horizontal magnetic field for charging the electric vehicle during travel, wherein the currents in the first transmitter and the second transmitter flow in opposite directions; and a multiwire self-grounding that includes coils for vertically receiving the horizontal magnetic field generated by the first transmitter and the second transmitter, and is for preventing a closed loop from forming between a receiver mounted on the electric vehicle and the first transmitter and the second transmitter.
