A coil spring according to one embodiment of the present invention is formed of an element wire that is helically wound, and has end turn sections and an effective section. The surface of the element wire in each end turn section has a region that is softer than the surface of the element wire in the effective section.

    Un ressort hélicoïdal selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention est formé d'un fil d'élément qui est enroulé en hélice, et comporte des sections de spire d'extrémité et une section efficace. La surface du fil d'élément dans chaque section de spire d'extrémité comporte une région qui est plus molle que la surface du fil d'élément dans la section efficace.
