To solve three disadvantages of the currently used wildfire extinguishing methods (geographical constraints, inefficiency of the fire extinguishing method itself, and the risk of very low altitude flight), the present invention relates to a fire suppression system and a firefighting aerial vehicle including same. The fire suppression system of the present invention, which is a fire suppression system installed in a cargo hold of an aerial vehicle for suppressing a fire, comprises: a fire extinguishing agent container mounted in the cargo hold and storing a fire extinguishing agent; a pump connected to the fire extinguishing agent container by a first fire hose and pumping the fire extinguishing agent; and a launching device for suppressing a fire by launching the fire extinguishing agent pumped from the pump, wherein the launching device comprises: a launch pipe connected to the pump by a second fire hose and including a nozzle for spraying or sprinkling the fire extinguishing agent pumped from the pump; a support part installed in the cargo hold; a rotation part installed between the support part and the launch pipe and allowing the launch pipe to rotate vertically and horizontally; and a handle part installed to surround the launch pipe and handling the direction of the nozzle of the launch pipe up, down, and left and right.
