Embodiments of a method of locating a guideway mounted vehicle are disclosed. In one embodiment, a communication signal is transmitted to a wayside communication device. A range estimation is obtained based on the communication signal. A radar signal is transmitted to at least one reflector. An accuracy of the range estimation is increased based on the radar signal.

    L'invention concerne, selon des modes de réalisation, un procédé de localisation d'un véhicule monté sur rail. Dans un mode de réalisation, un signal de communication est transmis à un dispositif de communication en bordure de voie. Une estimation de distance est obtenue sur la base du signal de communication. Un signal radar est transmis à au moins un réflecteur. Une précision de l'estimation de distance est augmentée sur la base du signal radar.
