The present disclosure provides an electronic device mounted on a vehicle and an operation method thereof. An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may: monitor the number of occupants boarding in a vehicle; acquire communication access information including information relating to the number of people accessing a communication module from among the occupants and the amount of data use through the communication module; recognize movement patterns of the occupants by using an occupant monitoring system (OMS); predict a data throughput to be transmitted or received through the communication module, by using the number of the occupants, the communication access information, and the movement patterns of the occupants; and determine whether to change a first communication scheme currently in use to a second communication scheme, which is 5th generation millimeter wave (5G mmWave) communication, on the basis of the predicted data throughput.

    La présente divulgation fournit un dispositif électronique monté sur un véhicule et son procédé de fonctionnement. Un dispositif électronique selon un mode de réalisation de la présente divulgation peut : surveiller le nombre d'occupants embarquant dans un véhicule ; acquérir des informations d'accès de communication comprenant des informations concernant le nombre de personnes ayant accès à un module de communication parmi les occupants et la quantité d'utilisation de données par l'intermédiaire du module de communication ; reconnaître des modèles de mouvement des occupants à l'aide d'un système de surveillance d'occupants (OMS) ; prédire un débit de données devant être transmis ou reçu par l'intermédiaire du module de communication, en utilisant le nombre des occupants, les informations d'accès de communication, et les modèles de mouvement des occupants ; et déterminer s'il faut changer un premier schéma de communication actuellement en cours d'utilisation en un second schéma de communication, qui est une communication à ondes millimétriques de 5ème génération (5G mmWave), sur la base du débit de données prédit.

    본 개시는 차량에 탑재되는 전자 장치 및 그 동작 방법을 제공한다. 본 개시의 일 실시예에 따른 전자 장치는, 차량에 탑승하는 탑승자의 수를 모니터링하고, 탑승자 중 통신 모듈에 접속하고 있는 접속자의 수 및 통신 모듈을 통한 데이터 사용량에 관한 정보를 포함하는 통신 접속 정보를 획득하고, 탑승자 모니터링 시스템(Occupant Monitoring System; OMS)을 이용하여, 탑승자의 동작 패턴을 인식하고, 탑승자의 수, 통신 접속 정보 및 탑승자의 동작 패턴을 이용하여, 통신 모듈을 통해 송수신될 데이터 처리량(data throughput)을 예측하고, 예측된 데이터 처리량에 기초하여 기존에 사용 중인 제1 통신 방식에서 5세대 밀리미터 파(5G mmWave) 통신인 제2 통신 방식으로 변경할지 여부를 결정할 수 있다.
