An apparatus {12} having an accumulator (30) fluidly coupled to a cylinder (32) having a moveable rod (44) and a pressure relief valve (80), the cylinder configured to produce an increase in resistance to retraction of the cylinder by re-routing fluid flow to the accumulator through the pressure relief valve after the rod has reached a defined retraction distance.

    La présente invention concerne un appareil (12) qui comprend un accumulateur (30) couplé de manière fluidique à un cylindre (32) ayant une tige mobile (44) et une soupape de détente de pression (80), le cylindre étant configuré pour produire une augmentation de la résistance à la rétraction du cylindre en réacheminant un écoulement de fluide vers l'accumulateur au moyen de la soupape de détente de pression après que la tige a atteint une distance de rétraction définie.
