A method and a platoon manager (102) for enabling a first wireless device (106A) located in a first vehicle (106) to communicate over a cellular network (100) when the first wireless device (106A) has no connection to the cellular network (100). After identifying a vehicle platoon (104) to which the first vehicle (106) belongs, a relay vehicle (108) is found in the vehicle platoon (104) where a second wireless device (108A) is located that has a connection (110) to the cellular network (100). The second wireless device (108A) is then instructed to act as a relay to the cellular network (100) for the communication with the first wireless device (106A) by means of a wireless Device-to-Device, D2D, link (112) between the first and second wireless devices (106A, 108A).

    Selon l'invention, un procédé, et un gestionnaire de peloton (102), permettent à un premier dispositif sans fil (106A) situé dans un premier véhicule (106) de communiquer sur un réseau cellulaire (100) lorsque le premier dispositif sans fil (106A) n'a pas de connexion au réseau cellulaire (100). Après identification d'un peloton de véhicules (104) auquel le premier véhicule (106) appartient, un véhicule relais (108) est défini dans le peloton de véhicules (104) où se trouve un second dispositif sans fil (108A) qui a une connexion (110) au réseau cellulaire (100). Le second dispositif sans fil (108A) reçoit ensuite l'instruction de faire office de relais par rapport au réseau cellulaire (100) pour la communication avec le premier dispositif sans fil (106A) au moyen d'une liaison de dispositif à dispositif sans fil, D2D, (112), entre les premier et second dispositifs sans fil (106A, 108A).
