A monitoring system may include a semi-autonomous mobile monitoring device capable of determining whether it has a sufficient power level to perform a monitoring task based on the distance between the position of the mobile monitoring device and a task area corresponding to the monitoring task. Upon determining a sufficient power level to perform the monitoring task, the mobile monitoring device may calculate a path to a task area corresponding to the monitoring task based on map information stored in a memory of the mobile monitoring device. The mobile monitoring system may automatically avoid known obstacles in the monitoring area between the position of the mobile monitoring device and the task area without using a remote control.

    L'invention porte sur un système de surveillance qui peut comprendre un dispositif de surveillance mobile semi-autonome pouvant déterminer s'il possède un niveau d'énergie suffisant pour effectuer une tâche de surveillance sur la base de la distance entre la position du dispositif de surveillance mobile et une zone de tâche correspondant à la tâche de surveillance. Suite à la détermination d'un niveau d'énergie suffisant pour effectuer la tâche de surveillance, le dispositif de surveillance mobile peut calculer un chemin vers une zone de tâche correspondant à la tâche de surveillance sur la base d'informations cartographiques stockées dans une mémoire du dispositif de surveillance mobile. Le système de surveillance mobile peut automatiquement éviter des obstacles connus dans la zone de surveillance entre la position du dispositif de surveillance mobile et la zone de tâche sans utilisation d'une télécommande.
