Vehicles designed to use ground effect forces to control a positioning of the vehicle relative to a surface as well as their methods of use are described. In one embodiment, a vehicle has a hull including a first portion having a partial ellipsoidal shape and a second portion that is flat and associated with the first portion. The vehicle may also include one or more sensors configured to sense information from a surface the flat second portion of the hull is oriented towards.

    La présente invention concerne des véhicules conçus pour utiliser des forces d'effet de sol de manière à commander un positionnement du véhicule par rapport à une surface ainsi que les procédés d'utilisation desdits véhicules. Dans un mode de réalisation, un véhicule comprend : une coque comportant une première partie ayant une forme partiellement ellipsoïdale et une seconde partie plate associée à la première; et un ou plusieurs capteurs conçus pour détecter des informations à partir d'une surface vers laquelle est orientée la seconde partie plate de la coque.
