An anti-collision system for a storage area comprises at least one emitter device (2), at least one receiver device (3), a signaller device and a control unit. The emitter device (2) can be coupled to a forklift (C) movable within the storage area and is configured to emit an optical signal. The receiver device (3) is installable at a ceiling of the storage area and is configured to monitor at least one transit zone (Z) of the storage area so as to acquire the optical signals (O) emitted therein. The control unit is configured to activate the signaller device as a function of the optical signals (O) acquired so as to generate an alert signal.
