A method for controlling an electric speed controller includes receiving an addressing instruction from a flight controller. The addressing instruction is used for addressing the electric speed controller with a target addressing number. The method further includes determining whether a throttle characteristic signal is received, and, if the throttle characteristic signal is received, sending a feedback signal for responding to the addressing instruction and recording the target addressing number according to the addressing instruction.
