The invention relates to a spacecraft (100) comprising a main body (110) and an attitude control system, said attitude control system including active attitude control means (150). In addition, the attitude control system also comprises passive attitude control means suitable for generating, in cooperation with the Earth's magnetic field, a damping torque and comprising at least one passive damper (200), the at least one passive damper (200) comprising an outer enclosure (210) and an inner body (220) configured such that: - the inner body (220) is positioned inside the outer enclosure (210) and is rotatable inside the outer enclosure (210) around at least one axis of rotation, - the outer enclosure (210) comprises an inner surface (211) and the inner body (220) comprises an outer surface (221), said surfaces being separated by means of a viscous fluid (230), - the inner body (220) is permanently magnetized, and - the outer enclosure (210) is constrained to rotate with the main body (110) of the spacecraft (100).
