An electrical harness system for communicatively coupling a first bus node to a bus controller includes a data bus including a first cable segment and a first data line and a second data line, the first and second data lines extending in parallel along a length of the first cable segment and being electrically coupled together at a first end of the data bus, the first bus node being connected to the first data line and not to the second data line, and first and second termination impedances electrically coupled to the first and second data lines at a second end of the data bus.
