FIELD: rocketry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocketry, namely to methods of statistical estimation of missile characteristics. In the method of the estimation of flight performance of missiles, based on the results of the launches, the results of measurements of any parameter are used as the initial data, while the non-stationary local-spline model of the second degree of smoothness is used as the model of the estimated parameter, primary estimates of the parameter are determined at discrete moments of time. Primary estimates obtained are taken into account as input data and, using for parameter estimating the steady-state local-spline model of the fourth degree of smoothness and specifying the necessary step of discreteness of the model, are considered to determine the secondary estimates and to form an approximating function that allows to determine the estimates of flight performance at any given time.EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to increase the accuracy, reliability and validity of flight performance estimates of missiles.1 cl, 1 dwg
