According to the present invention, disclosed are a method for controlling switching of a full vehicle mode of a hybrid vehicle and a system thereof. The method for controlling switching of a full vehicle mode of a hybrid vehicle includes: a step of determining that an expectation mode of a full vehicle is converted into a serial mode when a real mode of the full vehicle is in an electric-only mode and required torque of a driver is greater than a switching calibration value from the electric-only mode into the serial mode; a control step of controlling a vehicle integrated starter-generator to start an engine, in this case, the real mode of the full vehicle is still in the electric-only mode; and a step of determining if the real mode of the full vehicle is switched from the electric-only mode into the serial mode when detecting the engine is started. The method for controlling switching of a full vehicle mode of a hybrid vehicle and a system thereof can solve problems of a plurality of full vehicle control modes and complicated mode switching conditions of the full vehicle control mode switching methods, can easily and rationally switch various modes of the full vehicle based on a simple and accurate logic, can rationally allocate electric energy and fuel energy, and can remarkably reduce power consumption and ensure good starting of an engine, good stopping performance, and driving ability.
