    The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. Specifically, the present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for updating a flight path. A method performed by a terminal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises the steps of: transmitting, to a base station, a user assistance information (UAI) message including information indicating that flight path information exists; receiving a first message for requesting the flight path information from the base station; and transmitting a second message for reporting the flight path information to the base station.
