본 발명은 측면 충돌 상황에서 승객의 골반부 이하 영역을 안전하게 보호하는 기술에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서는 도어의 내측에서 시트에 착석한 승객을 향해 이동되어 승객의 신체에 지지되는 푸셔; 상기 푸셔에 공압이 제공되어 푸셔를 승객을 향해 이동시키는 푸셔이동수단;을 포함하는 도어 장착형 승객 보호장치 및 그 제어방법이 소개된다.
