Disclosed is an efficient tire sealant that is environmentally friendly or less damaging to the environment, characterized by high stability, good processability and safe application. the tire sealant comprises from about 5 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a bio-based aliphatic diol; from about 5 wt. % to about 70 wt. % of a natural rubber latex; and from about 0.001 wt. % to about 10 wt. % of a water-soluble polymer as an additive to adjust and/or affect the freezing point of the tire sealant.
