본 발명에 따른 리튬 이차전지의 충전 프로토콜 수립방법은, 2 전극 배터리 셀에 대하여, 참조 전류로 충전했을 때, 충전 심도(SOCx)에 따른 개방 회로 전압(Vref)을 측정하는 과정; 상기 배터리 셀에 대하여, 충전 전류를 달리하여 충전했을 때, 각 충전 전류로 충전 시의 충전 심도(SOCx)에 따른 개방 회로 전압(Vc)을 측정하는 과정; 하기 식 1에, 상기 측정값 Vref, Vc를 대입하여, 각 충전 전류 별로, 충전 심도(SOCx)에 따른 내부 저항값(RSOCx)을 산출하고, 각 충전 전류 별로, 충전 심도(SOCx)에 따른 내부 저항 값을 플롯팅(plotting)한 내부 저항 프로파일을 수집하는 과정; 및 상기 수집한 충전 전류 별 내부 저항 프로파일에서, 내부 저항값(RSOCx)이 증가하는 추세에서 감소하는 추세로 바뀌는 각각의 변곡점을 확인하고, 충전 전류 별 변곡점들 중 가장 낮은 저항값을 기준 저항값으로 결정한 후, 충전 전류 별 내부 저항 프로파일에서, 기준 저항값을 가지는 충전 심도를 한계 충전 심도로써 결정하는 과정을 포함한다. 식 1] 내부 저항값(RSOCx)= (Vc - Vref)/ Ic (상기 식 1에서, Ic는 각 충전 전류별로 인가된 전류값을 의미한다)

    A method for establishing a lithium secondary battery charging protocol according to the present invention comprises the steps of: measuring the open circuit voltage (Vref) according to the state-of-charge (SOCx) when charging a two-electrode battery cell with a reference current; measuring the open circuit voltage (Vc) according to the state-of-charge (SOCx) at the time of charging with each charging current when charging the battery cell with varying charging current; substituting the measurement values Vref, Vc into Equation 1 below to calculate the internal resistance value (RSOCx) according to the state-of-charge (SOCx) for each charging current, and collecting, for each charging current, an internal resistance profile obtained by plotting the internal resistance values according to the state-of-charge (SOCx); and identifying, in the collected internal resistance profile for each charging current, each inflection point at which the internal resistance value (RSOCx) changes from an upward trend to a downward trend, setting the lowest resistance value among the inflection points for each charging current as a reference resistance value, and then setting, as a threshold state-of-charge, the state-of-charge having the reference resistance value in the internal resistance profile for each charging current.
