The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission and an electric vehicle powertrain configuration that utilizes the characteristics of a double pinion planetary gear type planetary gear device, and implements a transmission with a set of planetary gear devices and a reduction motor so as to provide excellent transmission performance through continuously variable transmission, and to improve fuel efficiency and reduce cost. The continuously variable transmission is composed of a planetary gear device and a reduction motor, and a first rotation element is an input element, a second rotation element is a reaction element, and a third rotation element is an output element, and the first rotation element and the housing of the reduction motor are connected through a first shaft, and an output element of the reduction motor is connected through a second shaft so that [a rotational speed difference between the first and second rotation elements] and an RPM of the reduction motor are synchronized. Accordingly, the reduction motor can adjust [the rotational speed difference between the first and second rotation elements]. Therefore, when the reduction motor changes the RPM and the [difference in rotational speed between the first and second rotational elements] changes, the rotational speed of the second rotational element changes and the third rotational element, which is the output element, changes gears.
본 발명은 Double pinion planetary gears 타입 유성기어장치의 특성을 활용하여, 한 세트의 유성기어장치와 감속모터로 변속기를 구현함으로써 무단변속을 통한 우수한 변속성능을 제공하고, 연비의 향상과 저렴한 원가를 꾀할 수 있는 무단변속기와 전기차 파워트레인 구성에 관한 것이다. 상기 무단변속기는 유성기어장치와 감속모터로 구성되며, 제1회전요소를 입력요소, 제2회전요소를 반력요소, 제3회전요소를 출력요소라 하고, 제1축을 통하여 제1회전요소와 감속모터의 하우징을; 제2축을 통하여 감속모터의 출력요소가 연결되어 있어, [제1, 제2회전요소 간 회전속도 차]와 감속모터의 RPM은 동기화 된다. 이에 따라 감속모터가 [제1, 제2회전요소 간 회전속도 차]를 조절할 수 있다. 따라서 감속모터가 RPM을 변경하여 [제1, 제2회전요소 간 회전속도 차]가 바뀌면, 제2회전요소의 회전속도가 변하며 출력요소인 제3회전요소는 변속한다.
