The present invention relates to an apparatus for reducing motion sickness of a vehicle occupant and a control method thereof. The apparatus for reducing motion sickness of a vehicle occupant comprises: a housing unit coupled to a dashboard; a lens unit coupled to the housing unit and covering an opening provided in the housing unit; a liquid crystal unit disposed inside the lens unit, becoming transparent or opaque according to whether power is applied, and having a plurality of liquid crystal film units of which transparency gradually changes in a current direction; a bezel unit coupled to the housing unit and disposed inside the liquid crystal unit; and a control unit provided inside the housing unit, electrically connected to the liquid crystal unit, and electrically connected to an electronic component of a vehicle to receive an operation signal of the electronic component of the vehicle to individually control the liquid crystal film units.

    본 발명은 차량 탑승자의 멀미 저감 장치 및 이의 제어 방법에 관한 것으로서, 대시보드에 결합되는 하우징부와, 하우징부에 결합되고, 하우징부에 구비되는 개구부를 커버하는 렌즈부와, 렌즈부의 내측에 배치되며, 전원의 인가 여부에 따라 투명 또는 불투명한 상태가 되고, 전류 방향으로 투명도가 단계적으로 변화되는 복수 개의 액정필름부를 구비하는 액정부와, 하우징부에 결합되고, 액정부의 내측에 배치되는 베젤부 및 하우징부의 내측에 구비되며, 액정부와 전기적으로 연결되고, 차량 전장품과 전기적으로 연결되어 차량 전장품의 작동 신호를 수신받아 복수 개의 액정필름부를 개별 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
