The present invention relates to a GM calculation method using a rolling period of a ship, which accurately calculates a metacentric height (GM) by using a rolling period to determine a sailing condition during sailing of a ship. The GM calculation method using a rolling period of a ship measures rolling information of a ship by using an electronic inclinometer, extracts a parameter for calculating a GM from the measured rolling information, calculates a unique rolling period for calculating a GM by filtering, FFT analysis, and processing the extracted parameter, and derives the GM by applying the calculated unique rolling period information to a GM calculation formula.
선박의 운항 중 운항 컨디션 결정을 위해 횡동요 주기(ROLLING PERIOD)를 이용하여 정확하게 GM(metacentric height)을 산출하도록 한 선박의 횡동요 주기를 이용한 GM산출방법에 관한 것으로서, 전자식 경사계를 이용하여 선박의 횡동요 정보를 측정하고, 측정한 횡동요 측정 정보에서 GM 산출을 위한 파라미터를 추출하며, 추출한 파라미터를 필터링 및 FFT 분석 처리하여 GM 산출을 위한 고유 횡동요 주기를 산출하고, 산출한 고유 횡동요 주기 정보를 GM 산출 식에 적용하여 GM을 도출한다.
