Disclosed are a vehicle heat pump system and a control method thereof that can effectively prevent condensation on a windshield when controlling a refrigerant cycle due to switching between cooling and heating modes in an electric vehicle. The vehicle heat pump system, which performs cooling and heating of the vehicle interior using a refrigerant line including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion means, and an evaporator, comprises: a control unit which controls a valve provided in the refrigerant line to switch between a cooling cycle and a heating cycle. The control unit stops the operation of the compressor for a standard time when switching from the cooling cycle to the heating cycle, and senses the humidity of a front windshield of the vehicle, and when the sensed humidity value is below a standard humidity, it closes a defrost door which opens and closes a defrost vent and controls an intake door to allow outside air to flow in.

    전기자동차에 있어서 냉난방 모드 전환으로 인한 냉매 사이클의 제어시 전면 유리의 결로 방지를 효과적으로 수행할 수 있는 차량용 히트펌프 시스템 및 이의 제어방법이 개시된다. 차량용 히트펌프 시스템은 압축기, 실외열교환기, 팽창수단 및 증발기를 포함하는 냉매라인을 이용하여 차량 실내의 냉방 및 난방을 수행하는 차량용 히트펌프 시스템에 있어서, 냉매라인에 구비된 밸브를 제어하여 냉방 사이클과 난방 사이클 간의 전환이 이루어지도록 하는 제어부를 구비하며, 상기 제어부는: 냉방 사이클에서 난방 사이클로 전환 시 상기 압축기의 작동을 기준시간 작동 정지시키고; 차량 전면 유리창의 습도를 센싱하여, 상기 센싱된 습도값이 기준습도 이하일 경우 디프로스트벤트를 개폐하는 디프로스트도어를 닫고 외기가 유입되도록 인테이크도어를 제어한다.
