Disclosed are a system and a method for controlling a charge amount of a high voltage battery of a fuel cell vehicle. The system comprises: a high voltage battery for providing driving energy to a motor of a vehicle; a fuel cell for providing driving energy to the motor of the vehicle or charging the high voltage battery; a regenerative braking device for charging the high voltage battery through counter electromotive force generated in the motor of the vehicle during deceleration or coasting of the vehicle; and a controller for deriving performance data of the fuel cell, predicting whether the high voltage battery is overcharged based on the derived performance data, and increasing a discharge amount or limiting a charge amount of the high voltage battery when it is determined that the high voltage battery is overcharged.
차량의 모터에 구동에너지를 제공하는 고전압 배터리, 차량의 모터에 구동에너지를 제공하거나 고전압 배터리를 충전하는 연료전지, 차량의 감속 주행 또는 타력 주행시 차량의 모터에 발생되는 역기전력을 통해 고전압 배터리를 충전하는 회생제동장치 및 연료전지의 성능 데이터를 도출하고, 도출된 성능 데이터에 기반하여 고전압 배터리의 과충전 여부를 예상하며, 고전압 배터리의 과충전이 예상되는 것으로 판단된 경우 고전압 배터리의 방전량을 증대시키거나 충전량을 제한하는 제어기를 포함하는 연료전지 차량의 고전압 배터리 충전량 제어시스템 및 그 제어방법이 소개된다.
