The present invention relates to tire cord thread and a method for produicng tire cord thread, and more particularly, to tire cord thread in which polymer fiber and carbon nanomaterials are chemically bonded and carbon nanomaterials are highly dispersed on the surface of the polymer fiber, and a method for producing the same. The tire cord thread according to the invention provides excellent anti-static performance by securing electrical conductivity due to carbon nanoparticles chemically bonded to the surface of polymer fiber and securing a path for electrical conduction inside a tire using the same.
