According to an embodiment of the present invention, a flare tower comprises: a tower body installed vertically in a ship through which gas is discharged; a flare tip which is provided to protrude from the top of the tower body and generates flame by burning the gas; a height adjuster to adjust the height of the tower body; an environmental sensor which detects environmental information including at least one among wind direction, wind speed, wave height, and mooring status around the ship; and a controller which controls the position of the flare tip based on the environmental information received from the environmental sensor.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 플레어 타워는, 선박 내 수직하게 구비되어, 가스가 배출되는 타워 바디, 타워 바디의 상부에 돌출되도록 구비되며, 가스가 연소되어 화염이 발생되는 플레어 팁, 타워 바디의 높이를 조정하는 높이 조정기, 선박 주위의 풍향, 풍속, 파도 높이 및 계류 상태 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 환경 정보를 감지하는 환경 센서 및 환경 센서로부터 수신되는 환경 정보에 기초하여 플레어 팁의 위치를 제어하는 제어기를 포함한다.
