The present invention is to enable an emergency power unit to perform power distribution that eliminates or minimizes additional ancillary systems, based on the fact that a main power generation plant of a ship has been converted from conventional diesel (gas) generators to fuel cells and batteries, thus eliminating the need for peripheral equipment that is normally required for diesel generators. The present invention provides a ship power system and a providing method thereof. The providing method of a ship power system comprises: a step in which an emergency situation occurs on a ship; and a step in which emergency operation equipment for protecting the ship's occupants and cargo is operated through a switchboard by the ship's power plant device and voltage lowering device. The switchboard is not equipped with a separate emergency power supply means. The emergency operation equipment is equipped to supply power through a power supply path from the power plant device via the voltage lowering device, and the power supply path includes a first power supply path and a second power supply path different from the first power supply path.
