Disclosed in the present invention are an eco-friendly vehicle and a control method thereof, which may generate a hydraulic braking force of an adequate size when the charging of a battery is limited, thereby guaranteeing the braking force of an eco-friendly vehicle. To this end, the control method of an eco-friendly vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a step of determining whether the battery of the eco-friendly vehicle is in a charging limited situation in which charging is unable; a step of determining whether the driving state of the eco-friendly vehicle is in a state requiring regenerative braking; and a step of, when the eco-friendly vehicle is in a state of requiring the regenerative braking in the charging limited situation, generating hydraulic braking force of the size based on the difference of the actual torque and the required torque of the motor of the eco-friendly vehicle to compensate the torque of the motor.

    본 발명은 친환경 차량 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 배터리의 충전 제한 시, 적절한 크기의 유압 제동력을 발생시켜서 친환경 차량의 제동력을 확보하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 발명에 따른 친환경 차량의 제어 방법은, 친환경 차량의 배터리가 충전이 불가한 충전 제한 상황인지를 판단하는 단계와; 상기 친환경 차량의 주행 상태가 회생 제동이 요구되는 상태인지를 판단하는 단계와; 상기 친환경 차량이 상기 충전 제한 상황에서 상기 회생 제동이 요구되는 상태일 때, 상기 친환경 차량의 모터의 요구 토크와 실제 토크 사이의 차이에 기초한 크기의 유압 제동력을 발생시켜서 상기 모터의 토크를 보상하는 단계를 포함한다.
