The present invention relates to a bow structure for icebreaking and general operations of ships operating in polar waters. According to the present invention, a bow structure for polar ships comprises: a first linear part whose lower end is inclined from the front end of the hull to the stern side; and a second linear part extending from the first linear part toward the stern. Based on the longitudinal direction of the hull, the lower portion of the first linear part has a gentler inclination angle than the lower portion of the second linear part, so that both icebreaking operation and general operation may be possible. By adding propulsion to the force of inertia with which the ship is moving forward, it is possible to completely ride on the glacier, enabling icebreaking operation through self-weight and propulsion in the upper portion of the glacier.

    본 발명은 극지해역을 운항하는 선박의 쇄빙과 일반운항을 위한 선수구조에 관한 것으로, 선체의 선수 최전단에서 선미측으로 갈수록 하단부가 경사지게 형성되는 제1 선형부; 및 상기 제1 선형부로부터 선미측으로 연장 형성되는 제2 선형부를 포함하고, 상기 선체의 길이방향을 기준으로 상기 제1 선형부의 하단부는 상기 제2 선형부의 하단부보다 완만한 경사각을 가짐으로써, 쇄빙운항과 일반운항이 모두 가능할 수 있으며, 선박이 전진하고 있는 관성의 힘에 추진력을 더해 완전히 빙하 위로 올라타서 빙하 상부에서 자중과 추진력을 통한 쇄빙운항이 가능할 수 있다.
